Award-winning austin Architect Winn Wittman A.I.A. has been called “America’s most rock ‘n roll architect” by British magazine Spaces. His most recent project Acquavilla is for a Roger Beasley Porsche owner who wanted an inspired lakeside house crafted to showcase his car collection. Wittman was happy to oblige as he is known for his unique vision and co-creative approach to helping clients develop their ideal personal living environment. His firm, Winn Wittman Architecture, specializes in contemporary residential architecture, homebuilding, and interior design. “In this home, like all of our projects, we first sought to understand the client, then we developed an overall approach for a house that exactly fits the client’s lifestyle” says Wittman. “This particular client has a very whimsical spirit and that is reflected in the home.” Unique design features include customdesigned aluminum panels which define the home’s appearance and shade the windows from the Texas sun. These panels won a Dream Home Award this year for “Best Green Innovation.” The home will be featured in over a dozen national and international publications this year including Robb Report, Austin Urban Home, Hinge (HK) and Object (NL).

Below are photos of Winn Wittman’s award-winning project Soaring Wings – a home for another Porsche-owning family, located in Westlake Hills. The Project which received a Dream Home Award and a World Architecture News Award, was also Architectural Record House of the Month.

There may be several reasons why Porsche owners are attracted to Wittman’s architectural style and process. Both the Porsche and the Winn Wittman home embody function and beauty. The Porsche is an exquisite machine, and the home can be, as the French architect LeCorbusier said “a machine for living.”

And just as the professionals at Roger Beasley strive to make the process of buying and owning a car enjoyable and hassle-free, so Wittman seeks to make the entire process of envisioning, creating and living in your dream home as rewarding and empowering as possible. Wittman invites Roger Beasley enthusiasts to explore what it might be like to live in a home that is in tune with their “essential self”. During the month of September, he is offering a complimentary one hour initial consultation for Roger Beasley Newsletter readers; mention the Roger Beasley Newsletter when you book your appointment.
